Coming late to this and really enjoyed it. There's a little too much angst in the second half for my personal taste, but your writing carried me through - the dialogue's always spot on and the relationship believable. I also liked the way you have such a light-hearted beginning (Chase's desire to brain House was priceless), tense middle and emotional end. As I said, the end part was a little *too* emotional for my taste, but I read to the end nonetheless, and didn't regret it :D
I started noting down the bits I loved, then realised I was writing something down for every other paragraph, so gave up! House's concern and anger, selfishness and love for Wilson come through so strongly. I'm reading more fics now where Wilson is seriously screwed-up - would love to see more of it on the screen.
And since I can never resist picking a favourite line: The only person having respiratory problems, apparently, was House. *big cheesy grin*
