Oh definitely, I agree that they'd be a lot lonelier if they didn't have each other. Your stories convey that beautifully. I meant that their personalities are such that they have trouble reaching out to each other, even though it's obvious that they both care about each other very deeply. Seeing them struggle so hard to break through each other's walls (and their own) is what makes me sad for them and hope that they fully succeed some day.
