Rah rah! The Edmonton Fringe Festival has a different theme every year, as long as it has the word Fringe in it - usually as a verb. The year I volunteered it was "See Spot Fringe" and all of the activities and positions had dog-related nicknames. The other volunteer and I walked around all afternoon and kept hearing "we need a dogcatcher at venue such-and-such" over and over, and were puzzled because we didn't see any dogs. Then someone told us that that was code for the people who pick up the money from ticket sales. Did we feel dumb!
