That's a fair point. I think House pissing Wilson off probably does happen on a fairly regular basis; and most times Wilson sulks a bit and then forgives House. What was different this time was the job offer. Wilson wasn't testing or punishing House, he was testing himself, to see just how much House's friendship meant to him. He stayed away to see if he could handle staying away. But they're guys, so I didn't want him to say that completely outright. It was a bit too oblique - I'll look at ways of making that clearer earlier in the story.
