Mm. I'd looked forward to reading this since you posted this morning, then ended up having a crappy day, cooled off when I got home, and just sat down to enjoy it. Another gem -- sweet and funny and clear and clever and tense in all the right ways. It'd be redundant to say that your characterization is excellent, so how about how well you've captured Cuddy's voice? Plus the story made me laugh several times, which is something of an accomplishment given my mood earlier -- Chase's evaluation, "Foreman's gone rogue," Cameron starting a catering business, black-and-white movies being bad for your eyes... I can't remember the rest. Thank you.
nightdog_barks stole one of the lines I wanted to quote, so here are my other favorites:
"For a genius, you're pretty stupid sometimes," Wilson mused. "It doesn't matter if you need me or not. Because I need you. And if you let me help you now and then, well that's just a bonus."
Detoxing from Wilson was harder than detoxing from Vicodin.
"I've accepted the fact that if I want to be your friend it has to be on your terms. The least you could do is accept the fact that every once in awhile I'm going to need some time to remember why I can accept that."
